This article was very interesting for me because i am about to graduate from high school and i dont know what i want to study. Maybe in the future if i found more information about gap years that could be an option for me. I liked it because i think living and experiencing something different that what your used to could be a good experience for the future.I dislike that your taking one year of your studies and for me that if im going to study i wish to finish my studies as soon as possible. This realates to my life in the case that i dont know what i want to do when i graduate. In a situation like this the kind of person a am i would take advantage of it and make the experience the most interesting and find the good side of every moment.Yes in the future i could consider taking a gap year. If i decide to take a gap year i would spend my some of my time living in japan learning about their history and language. Then a would go to africa bringing food to the people in need their and stay a couple of months to experience their lives. Finally i would go to alaska and live like and escamo and learn hoe to catch my own food that would be a good experince. ReplyDeleteI think that this article is very good and interesting for the students in high school, because it represents an opportunity of calm and liberty after all the years studying. I like the fact that you as a young person you can help others, learn many cultures and places. Is a way to relax and prepare for life in college. One thing I don't like is that you have to leave all the studies for a moment and go have fun. Is not good for us, because when we go back to start in college we have to get reorganize again for study. In my opinion is not related to my life in any way, because I want to get in college quickly. If I had for some reason to take a gap year I would passed it helping people in the world, no matter the place or country. But really I don't like the idea of take a gap year for me. I going to concentrate my life in being a professional and not expending my life hanging out. Luis Carlos
ReplyDeleteSome might consider this “gap year” to be a lucky break. I enjoyed how they mentioned stories from different high school graduates because it made me see the value of a gap year from different point of views. The article can be real useful for those students that aren’t so sure what they want to do in college. If I could take a year to travel around the world, I would do it because it’s an opportunity to get away from the world of stuffy classrooms. Experiencing completely different worlds and cultures can be a remarkable turn in one’s life because it would help re prioritize interests. I’m positive that after one year off would help me go to college more focused, independent, mature and energized.
